In early March the Latin Mass parish of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne in Kansas City, Kansas had the bell of their new parish church blessed by Bishop Emeritus James Patrick Keleher. Quite a lot goes into the blessing of a church bell which becomes a sacramental once the ceremony is completed. The prayers take us back to our Jewish roots in the Old Testament.
